Tonight’s features Babatunde Aléshé and Tania Edwards – They will be supported by another comedian and an MC. Join us as we bring you some of the biggest names in comedy, hand-picked artists you’re sure to love, and stars of tomorrow you’re yet to discover. Four comedians, one big night of comedy!
Babatunde Aléshé is an award-winning comedian, writer, actor and podcaster. A firm TV favourite, Baba has appeared shows including Guessable (Comedy Central), House of Games (BBC), The Sorry I Didn’t Know (ITV), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central), Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave) as well as a cast regular in the BAFTA nominated Celebrity Gogglebox (C4). In addition to his success in comedy, Babatunde has authored provocative factual content drawing on his own powerful story of growing up poor in inner city London (Trap Town, London Live). An experienced actor, he has appeared in an extensive list of TV shows including Waking the Dead and films including Pelican Blood and The Naked Poet, alongside cutting-edge theatre such as Iya Ilé (Soho Theatre) and Requiem for Tomorrow (Shaw Theatre).
He is also featured in the cast of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
Tania Edwards
Tania Edwards is a stand-up comedian who was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square, Latitude and Funny Women competitions.
After winning the Amused Moose Comedy Award for best show at the Edinburgh Festival, which led to a run at London’s Soho Theatre, her jokes were selected as Best of the Edinburgh Festival in The Evening Standard, The Telegraph and The Mirror.]
Regularly appearing at major comedy clubs across the country, Tania’s jokes have featured on a number of topical comedy shows including Mock the Week (BBC Two), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Twit of the Year (Channel 4) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4).
